Scarning Rogation Walk

The traditional 'early' Rogation Walk was held at Scarning on the evening of 15th May, finishing at Scarning Church with coffee and cake, served by Rosemary Hutson and Alf Webdale.

It was a very enjoyable walk around Scarning's fields, footways, country lanes, going over and under bridges.Prayers were said at different stages of the walk, for the crops, the land, the people, visitors and inhabitants of Scarning. 'Beating the Bounds' was done.

Revd. Canon Sally Theakston, Rector, attended and was at the head of the walk. Archie, (Charles and Jane Steward's Jack Russell cross) and Rosey, (Tricia and Frank Foreman's King Charles spaniel) also enjoyed the walk and gave pleasure to the participants of the walk.
