Dates for your diaries! All below are happening at Dereham - 

St Nicholas will be holding a Valuation Day on Wednesday 22nd April, with TW Gaze doing the honours. So rummage through your loft and see what treasures (or not) you can find. The event is from 10.30am-2.30pm, £5 for one item, £10 for three. Refreshments  available.

 

As a result of the Air and Share meeting, we are introducing a monthly coffee morning on the first Friday of the month in Church House from 10.15 to 11.30, followed by a Communion Service in St Nicholas Church at 11.30.  This will start on 1st May, but no service in June because of the organ recital.

 

On Saturday 2nd May St Nicholas Fundraising Team are hosting a three course lunch in Church House.  Time: 12.00 for 12.30.  Menu: Tomato soup ~ Chicken stuffed with cheddar cheese wrapped in bacon, new potatoes and seasonal veg ~ Selection of desserts ~ tea and coffee.  Tickets are £15.00 and are available in advance from Dianne Harbord in Church or by calling 07943 962593.

 

The annual trip to Spalding will happen in May (but not 1st). We look forward to seeing you so come and enjoy the beautiful spring flowers in the gardens. Date TBC, hopefully 8th/15th May, keep your eyes peeled.

 

On the 6th June St Nicholas Fundraising Team are holding a Table Top Sale & Craft Stall event in Church. 10am to 4pm  The cost is £10.00 a table (set up from 9am).  If you or any friends or family would like to book a table or craft stall please call 01362 693970.   Refreshments will be available.

 

2026 Organ concert Season at St. Nicholas, Dereham 

This year there will be five concerts: Fridays at 1pm

May 29th  Richard Bower with a premier performance of “Variations on East Dereham” by Malcolm Archer.

June 5th  D’Arcy Trinkwon celebrity virtuoso

June 12th  Thomas Burt acclaimed young organist

June 19th  Graham Thorpe Norwich Cathedral

June 26th Anne Page international recitalist

The usual delicious lunches will be on offer again and the proceeds shall go towards our building project.  More details after Easter or see the What’s On noticeboard at the back of Church.  If you can bake or make sandwiches etc, please talk to Lynn.
