Beetley with East Bilney
The Parish of Beetley with East Bilney: one parish, two churches united in worshipping God
Beetley & East Bilney became one parish long before it became part of the Dereham & District Team Ministry. The two churches share one congregation, with services alternating between the two buildings. Coffee is served after the service, so there is a chance to exchange news, discuss the sermon and make plans.
The general service schedule is as follows. See the homepage for up-to-date service times and news.
Bible Study takes place on Monday evenings. Please contact Mr J Hull 01362 695154.
Common Worship is used at all the services at Beetley and East Bilney.
Charitable giving is organised through ‘pew boxes.’ At the beginning of the year the PCC chooses four charities, and members of the congregation support these through their offerings made in the pew boxes. The criteria for choosing the charities are as follows – some are local, one is always the Diocesan Lent Appeal, and the others are small or lesser known charities for whom our relatively small donations would make a big difference.
Each year a Lent group is held in the parish. Twice a year a leaflet is produced with the Methodist church, giving details of all services and other events. For more information on either of the churches, or to arrange a visit, please contact one of the churchwardens.
